The best riding tip I ever got was:

"Participate in a riding course" :thumleft:

I did the DP1 course of ADA with Malibu as a trainer and it was worth every penny! Thank you all!
(This is no hidden advert - this is my honest opinion!)

A good trainer can not only teach an old dog a new trick, but can also help this dog to learn about himself.
A good trainer can work on the trainee's mindset much more effectively than the trainee him- or herself.
I have read books on off road riding techniques, I have read in forums, I have watched training videos, I fell off my bike by myself.
Nothing beats though doing it yourself under tuition, being corrected, doing it again repeatedly, always getting a constructive feedback from your trainer, until a major portion of the message sticks.

This was not my last training, "Ay vill be beck!"
