Bike Lane on the N1 in Cape Town
« on: March 12, 2015, 03:29:56 pm »
Would like to know if any Wild Dogs in the Cape Town area can recall the request/drive about a bike-lane on the N1. Same like they have on the N2 inbound for buses and taxies. :o

I ride the N1 every day for years and have never heard of such a request or drive?

Do you think we should start a survey to see how many Dogs are in favor if getting our own lane? It will make drive to and from work a bit saver. The right hand side of the road are currently a waist of space and tar. Not even the safety vehicles are using it.

All motorcyclist would want a dedicated bike lane - it is not what we want it is what the law allows. Having a survey to prove something that is a given is a waste of time. You will need to convince the gov and that is not likely to happen.
