Anyone know someone coming from USA/Europe soon?
« on: February 02, 2006, 04:05:01 pm »
Hey All

Just wanted to ask, does anyone know someone they trust coming from the states or europe soon, cos I want to buy some boots, and it will come to a paltry R600 if I buy it there, and thats a damn good price (Fox trackers)

Its a nice starter boot for me to have.

Cost in this country? Add another 1K on odd for shipping and stealer profit. Even importing it, is expensive cos of shipping.

I need to move ASAP, so please let me know?

Tx!!!!!!

Hey Guest Welshie ;-)

Whats it about January? wow, yall have long holidays  :D  :D  :D

Mate, where are your mates going to, and when are they coming back? Their destination would help a stack, cos then I can start sourcing boots. Very busy with that right now!

Thanks a stack for offering

Could be cos I ran some virus protection.
Yes it is ticked, I may be daft and technically dodgy on IT but yes I aint that doff.

Yes he arrives the 9th and is therefore flying 8th so we may have missed the boat / airplane.

Off to the beverage retailers (pub) to see Twincan (Toucan).

Welshie   :D    8)

I was asked to run a marathon and I said no chance. Then I was told it was for spastics and special needs kids. I thought ?damn it, I could win that?!

Guys, where in the Alps? Which airport she flying in / out of? I am 20 minutes from Geneva airport, and about an hour from Grenoble / Lyon... assuming she is in the French Alps of course. If she is in Austra, Switzerland or Germany... well, them Alps are BIG :D

Kev.

She was last night in Geneve and going to Cosa Rosalba on the Italy side.

She will send me her address where she will be staying today. I spoke to her last night. She said she will do it ASAP. So LITO please be patient, these think do go fast as soon as  all info gathered.

I will contact you when I get the infoASAP. Promise

LITO, I tried to PM you... dunno if it worked, but here is the same info:
(Others might find the Belgium link interesting).

If need be, I can intercept Zonkels missus at Geneva airport on the way back... like I said, I am half an hour away. No worries there...

Man, you are shit outa luck for Alpine Stars in this here French land. The buggers prefer to carry French brands, or other Euro brands. However, I did find one place that carries "Fox". Being American, they are scarse on the ground here too.

Check the links:

http://boutique.emoto.com/product_info.php?products_id=25969 (Seems to go to size 44 Eu only)

And these guys seem to have a good deal: (€130)
They are based in Belgium... might be worth seeing what they will charge for shipping to SA.

You are looking at around €150 for Fox Trackers in France...

Another thing to bare in mind: Nearly all bike dealers are closed on Mondays in France, because the are open all day on Saterdays. Shipping to my address may take 2 or 3 days. Thats cutting it tight.

Laters,
Kev.
