A desperate man
« on: March 16, 2015, 03:21:50 pm »
Gentlemen

I am desperately looking for a std fuel pump for my 950. I have ordered one from China but it seems our Post Office cocked it up for me -TWICE  :xxbah: I have waited patiently for almost 9 weeks now but I reckon its time I accept that I will never see the part..
So I am hoping that someone has a working pump lying around somewhere.

At first I wanted to go the Facet route but also battled to get the part from the local spares shops. So I found the original part in China for 50 US. I honestly don't want to pay R2000 for the part from KTM.

Please PM me if you can help

Thanks
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

Buy a vacuum pump for a Rhino side by side from Yamaha, it works like a bomb on the 950 and it is fool proof, and does not require any wiring.

I tried Midas and other shops MDT, it does not seem to be readily available. I am really hoping for a plug and play. But it seems like I will have to do a mod of some sort..
I think a spares shop in Radiokop quoted me R800 odd for the 40171 a while back.

I sold my bike so I cant show you a photo, but I remember it was a sinch to mount, I mounted it on the outside of the air box and it was neat and lighter than any electric pump, it really worked very well.

@Nobby
Please tell me its the 660 fuel pump and not the 700..

Yamaha just quoted R820 ex vat for 660 and R5200 ex vat for the 700  :o
