Die duiweltjie wat op my regterskouer sit het sy teuels aan my gewrig vas... dit gaan baie moeilik wees!

Maar ek gaan probeer.  :thumleft:

I commute every day in peak hour traffic so I use road mode, much smoother. My son told me that there is quite a big difference in the mapping of road vs Dynamic like 20% more in Dynamic. I get around 5.7 to 6L/100km commuting which I think is great. I ride according to the traffic and if the road is open I wind it, so it is not all woesy riding. I have not used Dynamic mode in traffic but would assume you don't need it and will be heavier on petrol if it makes the motor more responsive.

Interesting. Riding mostly on Dynamic, commuting every day (not even highway riding) I get 5.6L/100Km.

Oom you must be riding like an Oom which is great, I thought I was riding conservatively, obviaaaasly not. My speed varies between  10km/h to some days 120km/h and on the odd occasion when the traffic is great 160km/h, and you get there so quickly! My ave speed is think is around 58km/h according to my computer. What is yours? I commute on N1 from Durbanville to Salt River.

My average is 53.8km/h, according to the bike. The bike's consumption calculator is accurate enough, stating that my average is 5.5L/100Km, while my own calculation thereof (based on fillups) is 5.61L/100Km (On the pic the consumption goes up at the end due to the offroad course I did.)

Why traction control off?

When ever you wheely or slide the back out the traction control reduces your speed, almost seen my gat over the bars while lifting the front up.

Traction control off, the bike handles they way it should without loosing power

...Enduro Pro Mode
...For ambitious Enduro riders, the Enduro Pro mode is offered in conjunction with an additional coding plug. This mode offers both a spontaneous engine response and is at the same time tuned to cater to the use of knobbies.

...Dynamic ESA is tuned for maximum traction.

I wonder how exactly they tune the engine for the use of knobblies? Is this also because knobblies are assumed to have more grip off-road than Anakee's would? And how do you tune the ESA for more traction but at the same time tune it for knobblies?

I don't think the bike will 'know' whether you have knobbies on or not.  I think the electronics are tuned so that it would yield the best results (in terms of slipping/traction) for knobbies.
I started biking as an under achiever and it went downhill from there...

Mostly road mode (dynamic when I'm in a hurry) but for general commuting "road" seems to be the best mode.

I average around 5.7-6.1L/100km

I use Dynamic all the time including dirt touring and switch to Enduro Pro for more technical bits.

TC always off for me apart from when it's raining.

Is this not the same as Enduro Pro LKM? As far as I understand under Enduro Pro, traction control is off, and ABS on the back wheel is off, engine performance the same as under Dynamic mode?

In Enduro Pro you still have ABS and TC.

ABS on the rear is only off if the rear brake pedal is used. If you use the front brake they are still linked and ABS is on for both.

The TC/ASC in Enduro Pro does however allow for more wheel spin than other modes but eventually will kick in.

We ride a lot of bumpy tar roads around this area and I find that ROAD mode gives me the best fuel consumption because the throttle is not as direct. The bumps make your throttle hand slightly open and close the throttle while you riding.

The different MODES on the throttle are just different sesitivity's of the throttle and does not change the fuel mapping at all. Being that the accelerator is actually "fly by wire" and has no cable connected to the throttle bodies.
