Not guaranteeing speed but maybe I'll have a go at reviving this thread.

We're currently in Israel, just back from a jaunt around Jordan. 14 months on the road. 31000km. 16 countries.

We're expecting to be back in SA in around 2 months time.

Expect this ride report to come out at XR125 pace.

How did you get through Egypt to Israel ?

Stick around and find out. Wasn't the easiest thing I've ever done.

Look for a shooting star and see Lynda's trail and remember all the great places you shared with her,she will never forget what she shared with you and will show you that in every starry night .

Wow, I did not mean to send that emoticon.

I see the watermark now; managed to zoom in on my tablet. :thumleft:

Hi Jeff and Your wife Aneen I am going to read your whole RR over the weekend. I am so sorry I did not camp with you guys that night when we met at that road block in northern Tanzania. After we split up I thought to myself I should have back tracked a bit and camped with you guys. Congrats on getting through the Suez, I so much wanted to travel through the Sinai and I tried to get through for 3 weeks, but I suppose that is water under the bridge now. You must have some convincing power as I tried my best. The best for the rest of your ventures and I take my hat off to those two 125s. I have just written a book and I have mentioned the two of you in the book, sorry I had no photo,s otherwise I would have put it in my book. Cheers for now.

It seems like I'm just not able to find the time to write up everything. However our film is just about finished. I don't want to upset the admin's (let me know if I need to become an affiliate) but here's the trailer:
