The wife and I went to visit mt parents in Citrusdal this weekend. I took advantage of the exceptionally low levels of the Olifant's river to go through the river crossing on the farm that can usually only be done with a tractor. The first river crossing was easy and the second one just above knee deep, but the 690 went through very easily. If been through here on the DR250 with the front wheel disappearing under the water before, but luckily that bike is a cross between a Landcruiser and a submarine. Then some river bed and up a hill to the public road.
I went through to The Baths' side of the river to ride the awesome piece of road from The Baths to where it ends at the end of the valley. This is an amazing piece of road and if you ever have time when you're in Citrusdal, go and ride it. It constantly dips and dives and have sweeping turns so you can keep the speed up. It's great fun going over a hump at 120 with the front wheel coming of the ground. You take the first exit to the right when you turn of the of the N7 and the dirt starts at The Baths. Nice place to test you're bike's limits.
