I am looking at the 2-stroke department for a dirt bike. I currently own a KX250F 2004 model and learned very quickly that rebuilding the top can be quite expensive, selling it and getting a 2-stroke is my plan. I have spoken to some people and read forums on technical pros and cons on both types of engines. So far the 2-stroke looks like a good option because you don't have the hassle of cams, valve clearances, shims ect. Mods is easy and repairs not as expensive as the 4-stroke.

What problems does 2-strokes generally give except for oil usage and fuel consumption?
