A friend of mine just got back from a trip and had a rock thrown at him on the Queenstown side of Jamestown. Took out his left side pannier, smashed to pieces.
So much for BMW quality! The two perps stood at the side of the road waiting for him.
He was lucky.
A lady told me first hand today how her husband was taken out by rock throwers between PE and East London. The rock broke his arm and the subsequent fall nearly killed him. Happened last year in March.
I've had a piece of wood thrown at me on the N7 and last week a stone as I was entering Hout Bay, right in front of the police station. The cops were non plussed and disinterested. They have more important things to attend to.....like taking a tea break.
