Four day ride from Cape Town with Stephen via Citrusdal then along the Olifants River to Clanwilliam, over Pakhuis Pass and then on to the Moedverloor Road and overnight at Groenrivier in Nieuwoudtville.
Saturday met up with Keith and rode out to Grasmere farm for an invited Boere breakfast on a farm.
Rode tweespoor across the mountains following the edge of the plateau to Loriesfontein for a quick visit to the Fred Turner Wind pump museum.
Return via the Quiver forest and Nieuwoudtville waterfall.
Sunday rode to Calvinia and after an excellent breakfast at Hantam Huis visited Van Rhyns Hoek to view Calvinia for 1 500 m on the Hantam Berge.
Riding back to Calvinia via the Loriesfontein road we followed a herd of springbok for several kilometres before they jumped the fence and ran into the mountains.
Monday home via Clanwilliam.
Rode 1 500km from Simon's Town to Simon's Town.
Stephen on a Honda XR 650L, Keith on his brand new Yamaha 660 followed by a DR650.
