Am I correct in saying that, in Enduro pro mode when gripping a handful of front brake the rear will lock up first?

i was playing around on a steep loose gravel down hill section, trying to go as slow as possible, then stop and go.  so a controlled very slow down hill, without touching the back pedal, in enduro pro - the back does lock up completly - with the front still turning.  giving me total controlled stop and goes.

so grabbing a handful of front only - no back brake, at speed, i would imagine it will lock the rear brake.

these mood modes are fantastic

I've been riding a gravel road to work most mornings now for a while, each time using the enduro pro mode. Just to get used to it and play around. Because skills, I am in dire need of. Anyway, so decided to take this other route this morning, more rocky, more ruts, more single-track and jeeptrack. Approaching the gravel I do the usual click-clickety-click of the mode switch to go to Enduro pro mode, and off I go. Except I forgot to pull in the clutch and close the throttle to make enduro pro mode stick, so the bike went back to road mode. I only noticed this when I eventually went back onto tar. What a disappointment, here I thought I was starting to master all the power underneath me, and meantime it's the bike stopping me from slipping around.

Ai tog. :imaposer:

Guess I'll just have to do that route again tomorrow!  :ricky:

NO - I disagree this is precisely when you start LEARNING SKILLS and stop depending on all the whizz bang technology of traction control, ABS etc etc which could very well let you down one day and then you are cooked because you are dependant on it  ::)  Ride that road bareback with it all off everyday and see how your riding will improve.  :3some:

BiG DoM I agree, I actually meant that I need to return to the road precisely to ride it with all the gizmos turned off.

If it is then sorry I misunderstood it - are all the bells and whistles turned off and the mapping put on roids?

My opinion is that it is good to exercise with all the gizmo's turned off, but whenever I go on a ride, I want everything on to help me to reduce the chances of an accident.

Went for an ride to a friend's farm last Saturday, and had the bike in Enduro for the first time, and not Enduro Pro. Was fine, except that the rear could not lock up when doing emergency braking. I prefer the rear to lock up under hard breaking, as I was taught this way, so therefore prefer Enduro Pro. In Enduro Pro the front ABS still works, so that in the event where I grab the front brake when getting a fright, the front will not lock up.

For an experience like BiG DoM suggest, run in Dynamic, switch both TC and ABS off completely, set suspension to Hard and hold on :thumleft:

Enduro Pro does not have direct throttle response, (the computer will adjust for best performance on dirt) and has ABS and TC tuned for dirt.

Dynamic has direct throttle response and with ABS and TC switched off it all depends on your skill.
