I crossed over breedtsnek on Sunday, in enduro pro mode. The bike jumped around a bit over the rocky sections, clearly spinning the back wheel up when I had no traction and lunging the bike forward as soon as the wheel landed again. I must admit it was not easy controlling the bike like this. But I'm putting this down squarly to my lack of skill and offroad experience.
When I did Lesotho last month, I did it in straight forward enduro mode, but with abs disabled. I had a much easier time controlling the bike over the rocks then, and the power did not cut once.
That being said, I get the impression the bike does not simply cut the power when loss of traction is detected, it merely reduces power output. So it's not like an on/off thing, but more like you're closing the throttle just enough to stop the wheelspin.
Anyway, I concur thus that enduro pro mode requires more skill and experience to keep the bike going smoothly forward.
I'll try LKM's suggestion of rain mode for the easier throttle responce, but sith traction control turned off. In fact, I'll use normal enduro mode like this to get used to the traction control aspect, and gradually move to enduro pro mode as I get used to the more dynamic throttle response.
Or I'll just stick to enduro pro and learn the old school way.
