Older DR's where art thou ?
« on: May 04, 2015, 09:33:08 pm »
It seems almost all DR650's for sale are late model 2006 and up bikes. Very few '97-2005 units (read well priced) bikes avaliable. Where they not sold locally back then or did they just sell more in the last couple of years ? Maybe I'm wrong and they are out there hidden away by the SSS society ?   Been thinking of a second bike and the DR is ticking the boxes but cannot go over 30k. Years ago I was lucky to find a 2003 model.

R22 500 betaal. Weer verkoop.

I bought my 2010 for R32k a month ago. There was another low mileage one in JHB for R35k. I'm sure if it's still for sale by now you can maybe pick it up for R30k

How desperately do you want one?
I might be forced to sell mine but will only know in a month or two.

There's a thread on it "Adventures of Sardine and James".

EDIT: just saw this is an old thread. Oops.

The number of bikes of a certain year model offered for sale closely mirrors the numbers sold. Prior to 2005 there were fairly few large single DS bikes and selling second hand was tedious even if the bike was in top condition and priced right.
