I don't know why this image keeps being pulled up for the CRF1000L. That's a CRF450 Rally.
All I can say is a very well done to the Honda marketing guys for establishing any kind of connection between the two.

This is the pick that gets me all frothy...she's sho sheckshy

397 pounds = 180kgs.

stolen from here : http://indefinitelywild.gizmodo.com/2016-honda-crf1000l-africa-twin-leaks-1704644496

What the ADV market has lacked for so long is a genuine, scaled-up dirt bike. Something that doesn’t weigh way too much or have too much complication. We’re told Honda is targeting a dry weight of 440lbs. And, this all-new 1,000cc parallel-twin sounds like its been tuned to work like a big single, delivering immediate response and big torque over useless high-rev horsepower. All backed up with Honda reliability, pricing and its vast dealer network. Stay tuned for more.

440 pounds seems a bit more realistic. 440 pounds = 199kgs

My Transalp is 214kg dry so I really wouldn't have a problem with this thing weighing 220kg. Anything under 200kg and I'd be giggling like a child.

my XTZ 660 is also over 200kgs. almost 3 times less power. lets hope this is a revolution that honda are famous for. why not, with all this tech and and manufacturing advancements we shouldn't have to settled for fat, slow under powered bikes. wonder if yamaha/suzuki/kawasaki will follow? must be the largest most profitable recreational biking industry around.
