Got my name at the Honda West Rand and Honda Sandton lists to contact me as soon as they've got any info.

I think the fact that this bike crosses over two separate WD boards just makes me want it more.
Is it an Africa Twin? Is it a CRF? Nay, it's both.  8)

Looks like a fully loaded test to me. I'm wiling to bet there's 30kg in each of those four pieces of luggage; just looks at the angle of the swing arm, and those forks look way too raked out forwards.

Kan dannie wag vir die R model nie 😋

Gah! You beat me to it!

I was just going to say, they've called it the CRF1000L. I wonder what the CRF1000R will be like...

my XTZ 660 is also over 200kgs. almost 3 times less power. lets hope this is a revolution that honda are famous for. why not, with all this tech and and manufacturing advancements we shouldn't have to settled for fat, slow under powered bikes. wonder if yamaha/suzuki/kawasaki will follow? must be the largest most profitable recreational biking industry around.
Always said Kawa will do well with the Versys if it had 21/18 wheelset, but no, Honda has to show them the way again. What about a 650 KLE with Supercharger then Alla H2?? That will be a market leader in all regards then I suppose....90hp from that with ultra low emissions and very light on fuel and weight?????
Am I asking too much from the Green brigade to be really GREEN in all aspects' off adv riding?? Supercharged CDi KLR for 2020??

something to cheer is up. maybe the last pic was the heavy load breaking point test... although that pic is not of a parralell twin. it is a single of you look closely at the cylinder. false alarm.

Nope that's definitely a twin, and probably the AT.
You can see the second exhaust header coming down the other side of the front frame piece.
(Side note: Glad the engine is not a stressed member)

That said, the pic you posted has me all giddy again. This is looking like a serious, high clearance, off-road oriented machine deserving of the CRF badge.
I'm going to want some serious crash bars / skid plate action for all that hardware sticking out above the right footpeg though...

Also, I keep seeing one pic with a stepped seat, then another with a KTM690 seat, then another with the stepped seat...do you think we're seeing the CRF1000R?
