Kewl.

However, only 'dirt' will be in underpants when it falls over in front of hipster café.

If I were to purchase a Ducati "Scrambler", and spent my riding time on it like you spend your testing time, by jumping and dune-riding it mostly, and it breaks soon
after purchase, as it will, can I say that I read a test in which it was shown that the "Scrambler" is good for all this? :pot:

What was your point with this type of test, or is it just a continuation of the SA thing of abusing stuff in areas they weren't designed for?

Yours sincerely,

Grumpy reader.

Come on Mr Dan! I expected so much more of you!  :3some:

:thumleft: I am really trying hard to place this type of bike in our world. This Ducati would , as a "scrambler", probably get dusted in most "scrambling" areas by
a 1969 DT1, so it is obviously just using this name as an image-exercise. A tourer it is not, a tad too expensive for a "about-towner", so what is it??

I've learnt with Italian bikes that overthinking it doesn't help. There often is no logic. It defies science. I can't categories the Scrambler either, but when I ride one I feel really happy. Some won't, obviously. But I do and so do many others. It's just an all round fun bike.

Saying that, it is more capable than people think. The video clearly shows that, but the fact that it is so small means it's difficult to get properly in trouble with it.

I think the Duc Scrambler video brilliantly showed what the bike is meant for: having fun!  As much as it isn't a "scrambler", and isn't meant for dune riding, the video captured what (I think) Ducati meant with this bike: you get on and you have fun.  Well done.

But my giddy aunt: that Frerich (sp) boykie can ride!

Observation on the review Harry is doing with the new DL1000. He has fitted one of the SW Motech bash plate options to the bike and its the weaker set up of the 2. If he takes any kind of hit with the one fitted youre going to be in for a new engine sump/housing/casing and may biase the report on the bikes D road ability.

Love the show PS when is Harry going to get his Tatoo finnished

I was watching all the extras he is fitting and thought that by the time he has finished and paid for all the kit, will it be such a cheap bike?

For interest's sake, why don't we get to view all the inserts on Youtube?

I know you can't give the show away for free, but I'd like to watch some of the reviews again or sometimes miss the show slot times.  (And I'm not lucky enough to have a pvr...)

At Red Star today – the KTM 1290 Super Duke vs the Aprilia Tuono V4 1100RR. Which would you choose?

Obviously someone is going to say "my XT500".  :lol8:

Are you dragging Yamaha's legend XT500 in here to lend some class to these bikes? :peepwall:

That was the best "road" test of the scrambler I have seen so far  ;D

Cheers! It was fun to make.

Imagine how much fun this one would be to make
