Almost had you there for a second.....

We have a brilliant Honda dealer in Slum Town and if he offers me a good price for my 990 ill definitely get one...

That would be s CRF450 then. Available now at your friendly dealer. Beware of the seat though.

Well Gents, now that the first impressions have been committed to blogs (thanks LS), posts and reports, I felt it might be interesting to see if the Poll Results on this thread might change somewhat, this based on what we have heard so far. For the record, of the 49 that voted we had;

7 - said they would buy the new AT,
24 - said they might buy the new AT,
8 - said they would not buy the new AT, and
10 - felt they could not buy the new AT now.

.... so the Poll has been re-opened and please feel free to amend your vote if need be, or add to the last option.

PS: I have decided to go for the HRC colours and it's 55/45% for the DCT model ...

Sold my 2014 F800 GSA two weeks ago to get the manual Tri Colour with ABS.
Its only being two weeks and the suspense is killing me.
My dealer says March only.

Anyone know what Honda SA offering on price for various models,

or are they "Subject to exchange rate? They have paid for them already so should be beneficial to take off the first batch?

I put 45K down in August 2015 for a white ABS bike , have been putting 3k , 5k , whatever K I have to my local Honda dealer to pay the bike off - I am 110k in and in Dec changed my mind to a red DCT version - if I sell my existing bikes I will have paid the bike off otherwise the last bit is on the access bond - I keep phone-ing the Honda dealer to check if there has been a price fluctuation , his words are that there is always an allowance to this factored in by Honda - but by how much ? I can take the 189 000 hit but any further up is not doable - down to the ABS model if the prices start to reflect real rand value - my hope is Honda sticks to their word this first round and adjusts after - holding thumbs

Agreed. That will be the next big gripe from potential new owners. If arrival dates are only in March/April a whole lot is still up in the air price wise. We can only hope the price stays at what they projected.

Potentially Honda SA should have bought the forward cover on the shipment - that's what just about every importer of anything does these days, so potentially the prices for the first shipments will be fixed already. Potentially......

I am seriously considering trading the Lump in on a white ABS model..... Hmm.....
