1986 CR 125
« on: May 29, 2015, 04:15:24 am »
Hi Guys
I am restoring a little CR 125 at present. The idea was to ride it in VMX here. I need a front chain slider, the one that wraps around the swing-arm. HondaNZ just simply say that the bike is out of production for too long and they don't carry spares any longer. I KNOW that you can get them from an aftermarket company in SA. Who can help? I got one for an old XR250R that I restored in SA 3 years back but I can't remember who supplied.
Cheers
Pat

Cant talk for NZ, but here in good ole NSA we order from US or UK/Europe and it gets here quicker than it does from Suzuki Springs or East Rand Honda. and I am sure the NZ pula is stronger than the zandella so should help the costing

Game Services in Benoni would be an option, they were the UFO plastic agents for many years and may be able to assist as they have old stock , worth a try.

Thanks gents. The American option was attractive until the mechanic at our local Zook dealer overheard my conversation with sales. He pulled me aside and showed me that the slider from a KX 125 can be adapted to fit. So all good I hope for $55 NZ.
