I'm planning a ride for September from Knysna to Augrabies Falls and Upington via Fraserburg, returning on the N12 via Victoria West and Beaufort West. Does anyone have first knowledge of the gravel part of the road between Fraserburg and Williston. It is the R353 which is mostly tarred but has about 40km of gravel. I heard it is OK with some parts of loose rocks and corrugations (nothing unusual) but also sand! Any help would be welcome.
