I would like to be able to read RIDE REPORTS with out all the other comments from the gallery.  i.e. a filter to see RIDE REPORT by OP only.

That would make the reports more readable!!!

The OP can browse the comments left for them in the main body.

For instance "Schalk van der Merwe's SOLO trip", would be great to read almost as a single article.

If I may add to this, it would be gr8 to see the post 1st and the the new replies after that rather than all the older ones in the beginning and if you want to read all the others that you can just page through the rest

"great"  :sip:

If you click on the little block with the word "NEW" in it, it will take you to the first new post in that thread that you haven't read yet.  :thumleft:

Got that but not quite the desired effect.

I dont want to see all the "feel good" encouragement posts to the OP, I just want to read the Ride report, if its worth a comment I will still comment on the thread

Tapatalk is a major pain in the butt the way they have changed and keep changing their interface and feeds.

Hi KilRoy,

On the previous platform, if I opened a thread via login or email,  it opened up on the last page that I read.

If this has been asked please forgive....but now on the new platform when I open a tread that I have been subs to...it takes me to the first page when accessing via login.

But when opening the self same thread, it opens up at the last page that I have read.

I like the second option because it is not always possible to remember the page #.

Now the question, is it not possible for the first type of thread access (via login) to open up on the last page # that I have read?

Something small that I found on other forums....when you click on the last page of a thread I.E. one that you are following....they start at the bottom or go to the last post not the post at the top of the page....I know there is a go down button....but if the page is long it takes longer to find were you left off, (if you have been following the tread or there have not been alot of posts missed) than if you started at the bottom :thumleft:

If you click on the 'new' button directly next to the thread heading it goes directly to where you last left off.

Nice thing about that feature on the new forum platform: If you look at say a thread under your New Replies which had a few pages added and you just read one page from where you last left off you can close it and it remains under your New Replies thread and when you come back to it then it starts on the next page from where you last were.

Does anybody understand how the Search function works?

As an example, I searched as below, found 6 replies, but not the one I was looking for..

just as I'm looking for the "floating balloon" giving part of a post on the "New Posts" page.......  :sip:  (considering we actually previously had that function)

Guys, personally I think you are doing a GREAT job. This is a wonderful site with lots of info. Further I have met and ride with some members, collecting memories that would not have happened if not for this forum. Met one of your admin guys last weekend at the top of Sani Pass and had a chat. I am a member of a few off-road biking forums but have found a lot lacking.

I do have one suggestion and that would be a section where members can mention future rides open for other riders to participate in. This section maybe grouped by region/province just to make searches easier. I find there are many members that would like to ride but do not want to do this on their own for safety reasons. There are also those that maybe newbies and intimidated by the fact that they may hold others up during the ride. Thus mentioning the skills level required for the ride may also be worth while.
