I am putting a 650R back together, and this afternoon I had the swing arm in. After torqueing all the various bolts and nuts, I still have about 3mm of side to side freeplay on the swing arm. I have set the preload acording to the manual and have done everything as it should be ( as far as I can tell).
the motor has been out the frame for about two weeks or so. There was no end float when I took the swing arm off, and now there is a hellova gap :xxbah:. seems the frame has widened itself out of boredom while waiting for the motor :eek7:
Who has a 650R that has had the same issue and managed to fix the problem or knows the magic fix
