Me and the Mrs. are in. Most probably trailer to close by and then ride. Too long for 2up on a Dakar.

I live in Polokwane. Can provide storage for your cage and trailer if you'd like.  ;)

Hi Red
Looks like I may be away the weekend afterall. Looks like I jumped in a little too quickly. I think leave me off for the time being (nothing to do with tents)!

Due to the number of responses and people still coming on board, I have decided on another course of action.

The Game / Hunting Lodge have a total capacity of 28, including two rooms sleeping 8.

Quite a few guys indicated that they want to bring their families as well and there is even talk that we go on Friday night already and make it a weekend.

So the new take on it is that everyone decide when, where and with who they want to ride / drive and make their own bookings at the accomodation of choice.

Here is Leydsdorp Lodge details:
Dick & Hannetjie Welman
Lodge, Restaurant & Bar
Phone/Fax (015) 318-4466
Cell - Dick (079) 478-3457
Cell - Hannetjie (072) 069-1797

The Game Lodge Details:
Sanet (083) 448 0861

In my opinion the Game Lodge might be a better option for families.

I don't care.  I will see how things pan out.

Operator!!!!!!  Are you ignoring us today?

As an afterthought.  We are so close to R15,000.00.  Can't we have a last push for a nice round amount?

Much abliged for the offer Panne. But we are caging all the way to the lodge, most probably on Friday.
Thanks again for the offer.

I have cancelled our full booking of Leydsdorp Lodge.  Please phone and book you accomodation.  Sorry guys, I just could not keep up.  Some guys wanted to bring their families, some wanted to stay for the weekend, but still had to sort out the permissions.  I just could not keep track anymore.  Both Lodges are very friendly and accomodating.  I don't think there will be a problem at either one of them.

I booked a double room for me and Stephan at the Game Lodge for the Friday and the Saturday night.  We are going to make it a weekend away.

Just some thought.  Shall we all come as we please but meet at 11:00 at the Letsitele Police Station, or does anyone know of another venue we can all easily identify in the town?  I think we should arrive at Sanwild together.

What about meeting at THE stop street in town? ;D
I reckon we all pull in to Sanwild as a group.
We'll be cruising up on Saturday morning early, anyone want to ride with me? Peaches and co will be in the car.

Beemerman, you still want to share a room at the Leydsdorp Lodge? If so, let me know and I'll book the room

Anybody going to be leaving from Pretoria Saturday morning who will be doing 650 speeds? (Thats 650cc not 650km/h). I was thinking of going via Marble Hall and avoiding the N1 as much as possible while still sticking to tar for speed.

Yeah, can't wait to see you either, Kilroy.

I wish, it's just that this is the first time in about 14 years that I am leaving the cats for more than an overnight (and when I mean overnight, that's from 6 in the evening to maybe 6 the next morning, so really......) and I'm quite nervous.

I'm sure you will all help me overcome these so yeah, maybe I won't want to go home  :o :o
