After receiving a message from Google that the mobile portion of the Mountain Passes South Africa website was going to be downgraded for not being mobile friendly, we set about sorting that lot out. For a small website with half a dozen pages, it's no problem, but with a 500 page inventory we walked into an IT nightmare. Despite this, we did a"soft-launch" unannounced last weekend, hoping to have any gremlins resolved by today, but that also was not to be.
The site seems to be working really well on the more up to date operating systems with Internet Explorer 7 giving us the most issues. This means we have to edit the photos, videos and map on every single page individually and it's going to take months. In the meantime, some of the gaps, and spacings don't appear perfect, but it is still navigable.
Despite all that, the show goes on and today we feature a trio of minor passes on the P1721 on the northern slopes of the Swartberg.
