Bought a Yamaha XT660 R which has been standing around at its previous owners place for a while.
The bike was last serviced by Yamaha in 2013 at 10000 km , and has done about 1100 km since then ...like I said ...this bike has stood around for awhile. It has 11500 km on the clock now and Im wondering if I should change the oil ....not from a mileage point of view , but from the age of the oil . I know a lot of guys change oil once a year regardless of the mileage. Does oil degrade over time if it stands unused.
