As you all know, my GS had to undergo some minor repairs after my spill at Koos se Klim. My insurance approved the claim, and I decided to take my GS to Touratech. I took the bike there last week Wednesday for them to start work. Stephen asked when I want the bike back, and I said latest next week Friday (which is tomorrow/today).
The cylinder head cover was the part that had to be fixed, as all the other components were replaced by new ones.
I phoned them last week Friday to get a progress report. I spoke to John, and he informed me that my bike is still as I left it.
The Reason?[/i] They await other cylinder head protectors that they have sent to their supplier, they will get that back on Monday and first want to check the quality of workmanship. I said thanks, and I will call back later.
I called them on Tuesday, spoke to Johan, he informed me that the crash bars are fitted, the bash plate & cylinder head protectors (except the left side). They await the arrival of my cylinder head cover. Today I decided to pay them a surprise visit, called them at 17:00 and asked until when they will be at the office.
?About what time Herman?? ?Roundabout 17:30? ?Fine, we?ll wait for you?.Upon arrival, Stephen & Johan escorted me to my bike?and she was finished, klaar!!!! They just need to fit the new Touratech hand guards and then I can take her?the hand guards are in storeroom, and will be fitted tomorrow. I can collect my bike by 09:00!!!!!
This is service, and I will go back there again, and again?and again!!!!Thank you Stephen, Liz, Johan & John for great service, keeping me up to date, and for delivering on your deadline. You are
