 I have been reading up on the Husky board quite a bit and see you were very active. I hope you will help a noob like me along?

I will be wiring up the new instrument cluster to the bike this weekend. I am wiring up a new male connector plug and there  is a magnitude of different wires and functions involved, so I will do a pictorial and an explanation thereof if someone will find it useful for future reference.

Right now my challenge is to prepare the bike for COR, which means that I must -

1. get the instrument cluster and its associated functions (speedo, rev counter, etc) working fully
2. get the headlamp's dim and bright functioning properly after having removed the spotlights and their wiring.
3. fabricate a supporting frame for the plastic front-sprocket cover. One of the casted "pillars" to which the cover bolts just in front of the sprocket has sheared off flush against the casing. I suspect the reason might be that the front sprocket fitted was oversize to enable easy highway cruising (the bike was used to commute with) and that, as a result, the chain knocked the pillar down. On my DR the PO did something similar with the result that no normal chain guard can fit anymore.
4. I also want to also confirm the gear ratio's and reduce it to up the torque and lower the top-end.

hahahah, altwee die bogenoemde is ewe waar!!!!

I could agree with you! But then we both would be wrong.....

Political Correctness is a doctrine, recently fostered by a delusional, illogical minority and promoted by a sick mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a piece of shit by the clean end!

Beautiful bike J :thumleft:

Do you perhaps know what the plastics are made of - ABS, etc? Got two small cracks I have to sort. If it is ABS I can do the Acetone and lego block fix, but if made of another type of plastic I will need to look for a professional plastic welding job.

No idea, but should be marked on the inside of the plastics I guess
