I'm a big believer of loving the bike you ride, and not just having your bike be a vehicle. If you don't look back at your bike every time you walk away from it, you bought the wrong bike! :deal:
Last night, when tucking mine in the garage for the night I realised that I love my bike!I love the way she looks and rides, and what she does for me. But, what did it take to get her in such a condition that she's so close to perfect? In asking myself this I took inventory of all the extra's I have fitted. and, in my opinion, it's quite an extensive list.

And now I'm wondering, what has the rest of you guys done, and what would you still like to do? This can include everything, from the basics (i.e long range tank), to the completely unnecessary (i.e Plastidip on the rims, to make them black and "improve" looks). Most of my additions/changes are to fit my riding style, and the way I want my bike to look.
My XRL is farkled as follows:
Mitas C23 knobly on the front, to give great grip on the tracks, especially in sand.
Black Plastidip on rims, to improve looks.
White front mudguard, a bit shorter and stiffer than the stock red one.
Amber headlight protector
Hyde touring screen, which makes riding at above 110km/h for long distances tolerable.
Zeta handguards
2X Extremelights 1000Lumens LED spots, wired into the ignition, with a separate handlebar switch.
12V socket and 5V USB external power points
Folding mirrors
Garmin Etrex20 mounted on the handlebars
30MM handlebar risers
Clark 18L tank
Large footpegs
Desmogging, rejetting, carb, and airbox mods done by Dux
Halfdaft luggage rack, with subframe supports
42L topbox
Custom made soft luggage pannier racks
Tireshield in both tires
What I still want to do:
Bashplate
Comfort seat
Painting body panels
24L Acerbis tank
Proper soft luggage (Wolfmann/Andystrapz/ATG etc.)
3600 Lumens spots
Suspension upgrades
Hyde casing covers
