Indicator Relay on R60/6 - Help me understand after market relay

Hey wise ones.

It looks like my indicator relay is shot on my 1974 R60/6.
Replacement is around R1300 based on the various providers i have called so far.

I have removed the original indicators and put on aftermarket indicators (after finding out that the relay is stuffed).

So my question is, can i put in an aftermarket relay?
Will this effect any of the other electronics?
What do i need to know, sounds too simple to just put in a new relay...
