We are leaving for a trip up Africa in about 4 weeks.
I have a few questions – hoping to get some insightful answers
First:
We will be traveling 30-000km. 15-000 km up to Sudan and 15-000km down again. Around halfway we will need new tyres. Problem is halfway will be Sudan. I heard somewhere that you can get new tyres at JJ’s in Kenya.
Can anybody confirm that?
Or can anybody inform me if it is possible to get tyres higer North that Kenya?
Im looking for something decent like Heidenaus K60.
Second:
I want to confirm because I am getting conflicting information.
Can you get the Uganda VISA at the border or do you need to get the visa in SA
Third:
To get our Ethiopian visas they are requesting that we either show proof of our accommodation booking and/or a letter of invitation. Obviously we have neither. I’m sure there is a really simple solution…??
Fourth:
Can’t think of a fourth now but I’m sure it will come to me soon enough!
