My heart is so tender for these kids man.....

+ 1. It got so much more tender once I had my own child. It was amazing to see the little smiling faces.  :'(

Hearing and seeing these things just makes me want to go out there and save them all...... but realistically I cannot as there are just too many.... but doing events like this can make a huge difference for the kids particularly at this home where ur valued contributions were made :)

My heart is so tender for these kids man.....

Oh yes - but every little bit helps.

It is really amazing to see how they run these homes (15 each) as close to a 'normal' family setup as possible.

If you go into them (for the most part) it looks like a normal house with a beeeg family living there.
Still heartbreaking, but you got to admire what these people can achieve with what they've got.

Btw - Petru, the lady that showed us arround was herself in a home like this for 12 years of her life.
How's that for giving back ?

:-)

02/02/12 - RIP Glen - the Arrow of Elliot and the little man with the big heart that truly was larger than life.

You have touched us and left us better for having known you - even if it was only briefly.

For grabbing the moment and living the day It's been way too early that you were taken away

You should have seen me last night watching Will Smith in 'The pursuit of Happiness'. I almost got dehydrated!  ;D

My wifes's parents are helping at a orphanage in Swaziland. They still have to carry water in buckets. I thought of asking the Gauteng WD's to maybe help out if they could with some stuff for the kids there.  :-\

Awesome story that.

Yeah - I have found Wilddogs by default to have a heart - regardless of your brand :P :P :P

Uiltjie you are a complete Legend!!!!!!!!  Well done to all those that attended and all those that contributed towards such a fantastic act of true Wild Dog brilliance. I am so embarrassed for not having been able to join you all and for not having followed the  planning thread for various factors. This is no excuse though.

Well done you guys!!!
When in doubt...grab throttle!!!

ROUTE DIFFICULTY:1 = tar
2 = good gravel /pillion friendly
3 = interspersed with sand, mud, sand , bush / not pillion friendly
4 = lots of sand, technical riding
5 = expert only (we are not worthy, still to meet one)

Never underestimate the impact we have with these kinds of outrides.

One of our members, Musashi, mentioned the Robertson children's home to Alexander Forbes social committee, and they decided to collect clothing, toys, food, etc. during December.  They donated the children's items to Die Herberg Children's Home in Robertson and the adult items to ACVV in Maitland.

Even long after the wilddog outride, the seeds have now turned into fruit.
.. therefore sweet knights if you may doubt your strength or courage come no further, for death awaits you all with nasty pointy teeth.
