As a regular visitor to the ABBG I am used to the fact that there are support staff in the background. Many times we tend to just accept this fact without really showing any appreciation for the people doing it ... that is until the crap hits the fan and you need them ... then there are usually streams of gratitude.
This year was no different and here are a few shots of some support stuff ...
Three rapid response vehicles ... BMW X3's
Bike washing facilities provided by some local entrepreneurs
Auto Alpina provided the technical backup with a mobile workshop. Tyres were fixed or replaced and
some on the fly repairs were done. Some really serious fixes were made too as well as some tweaking
and tuning. Auto Alpina deserves a large round of applause.
Unfortunately there was no rear tyres on hand for LT's.
Motorrad had some small trucks and trailers on hand to do physical recoveries on the off-road routes.
These two brothers had an unfortunate mishap.
There were also some Medical personnel on duty and that is good to know.
