The Kawasaki H2

Out of the 13 journalists that voted, it was voted first five times, second twice and third once. Each journalist was asked to vote for six of their best, and only one of the 13 didn't vote it in the top six.

In second place was the Triumph Tiger 800XCx

Interestingly, it received the most number one votes among journalists, with six putting it as their number one. Where it lost out to the H2 was on other votes, for example four journalists didn't include it in their top six. Still, second by such a close margin speak volumes for the little Briton.

Fourth was the Aprilia RSV4, which took the fancy of a huge number of people, including the local experts who were there to assist with onboard tracking. They loved it's sweet handling, even if the motor seems to not quite deliver on its 201hp promise.

In fifth place is the KTM 1290 Super Adventure

The motor on this bike is absolutely potent, and you can easily ride around the 22's bends in fifth gear, letting the torque of the motor shove you between corners.

I fear it was a bit too heavy for many journalist's likings, hence fifth.

Sixth is the Yamaha Tracer. Nobody could criticise this bike for anything. It does everything it says on the box for a decent price. Where it lost out was in the weighted "Wow Factor" category. Still, well done.

R1 was the overall winner in the USA MOTY. I like this one. If I was there I'd have voted it above the H2.
