My wife's' bucket list included the French/Spanish pilgrimage walk of the Santiago de Compostelo, an 800 kay walk that takes about 6 weeks. We don't have 6 weeks and settled on doing the last 300kays from Astorga to Santiago. Backpack weighs 7 kgs. Will be walking about 25 kays a day. Fark me. I can just make it to the toilet on a good day.
The sad thing is bad planning on my part. This coming weekend (whilst we're there) there is the WSB race at Jerez and the weekend after, the MotoGP round at Aragon. Obviously, (I) can't attend. Back in October hopefully speaking Spanish!
