From here I took the tar road towards Graaf Reinet, what a lekke road, lots of twisties up and down. Lekke sover!

Nice plat pad

Weer begin lekker opsteek agter my!

En net HIER begin my nagmerrie. Little did I know what lies ahead. In my tipiese windgat houding besluit ek dat enige T4A roete geskik is vir n KTM. I was just to tired ride, walk or breath for that matter so only took a few pics but here they are:

All looking good for now en moerse impressed met myself om deur 10cm water te ry

Soon the road turned to a 2spoor en toe raak dit rof

Cant really see it in the pics but I was climbing 1st gear hills, going through at least 20 gates that I had to open and close.

I then started getting dry riverbeds one after the other

I was now low on fuel, about halfway through the road to hell totally alone, no cellphone signal for 2 hours and shitscared of snakes. I realised that had to make it out before dark without breaking any bones and then made a very silly decission. Op die gps lyk dit of ek so 10km kan uitsny as ek in die rivierbedding probeer afry. Nou ja, after about 30min 1st gear spinning full time Amageza riding with fully loaded 990 I got to this.

Terug waar ek n uur gelede was.

There is now NO track left to speak of, erosie humps elke 100m wat so hoog soos die bike is en dit klink dalk nice maar na 477 humps raak jy gatvol en MOEG. I pretty sure that no vehicle came through here since Chaka Zulu. Van die erosie slote is n meter wyd en ek moet deur die boose neuk om terug op die track te kom that only excist in the gps.

So na 4 ure wat my laat dink aan hoe maklik my diensplig se pt sessies eintlik was kom ek by die hek uit? I could not help myself and started laughing (it was that or crying) IT Was Locked!!

I saw a farmhouse in the distance and started walking. Only about 2km but it felt like 20. They phoned somebody to unlock the gate and lady casually asked me if I went through any gates with electric fencing on top. The answer was Yes, 4 of them?  It was a frikken lion camp All she said was that somebody must have removed the signs and locks on the other side.....WTF? :o

Anyway, I was now on my way again on a beautifull gravel road and after going through 2 game reserve electronic gates to get out I ended up 30km from Jansenville on tar.

And then it happened, Petrol is klaar pappie. Gelukkig onthou ek van my secret weapon, 4.5L of clean healthy Desert Fox fuel.

It started raining but I was happy! I AM ALIVE.  Got to Jansenville, Zamalek, Rumpsteak, Bed.
Next morning got up late with every bone in my 52year old body acking but 10m on the bike fixed that.
Decided to go visit Die Drol in Addo otherwise I will never hear the end of it.

[

Ek kon nie eintlik kiekies neem van die rowwe stukke nie, to busy looking for 1st gear and shouting in my helmet. Naah, just joking, wasn't to bad, if you can do Breedtsnek, you can do this, just 40km long.
