National Bash River Destiny AKA Gariep - Group report
« on: September 28, 2015, 07:59:09 pm »
Firstly I would like to thank everyone who voted for Gariep to deny me a PROPPER RR  :imaposer: :deal:

No-way I can spin a story about 40 something odd km's  :-\ :P

I however left Colesberg Friday morning heading to Schoombee went and did the Brulberg road then to Steynsburg, headed for Hofmeyer crossed the Molteno road then crossed the Venterstad road and did a nice section of the Hantam all in all about 460km.  The Bash as usual was a treat.  Nice seeing the old faces and meeting new ones. Thanks Mapsource for arranging the Dam viewing and getting us access to the restricted areas on Saturday :thumleft:

Just some photos of the terrain and some random pics.
Thanks Janita for all your effort, it did not go by unnoticed  :thumleft:

My RR in a nutshell would be - I went - I saw - I laughed - I went home  :lamer:

We got back on Sunday, that was the worst 700km of the N1 I have ever done, with little sleep and the mother of all hangovers, I never learn.
Had the day off yesterday, back at work today and I still feel hungover.

I have a few hundred photos, I still need to go through them all

Its mainly bash photos, the Free state doesnt have many brilliant photo opportunities.
My mishap on the first day also put a little bit of a damper on my riding.

Preventative maintenance is your friend

I will return with photos in a little while
