We managed to tow me the last 35km to Aldam.

After pitching tent and finding my Captain Morgan I opened the cover to check if it was the belt, indeed it was.
With some luck Ginger Bread Man brought his c-tec charger and we charged the bike over night, the next morning I nailed it at high speeds towards Bloem on the N1, Sovereign had 1 belt in stock, I had to get it.
I made it 70KM before the battery died again, when the other guys eventually caught up I swapped batteries with Trojan and nailed it the rest of the way to BMW, Got the belt and had them kindly fit it for me too.

Would it be too much trouble to add forum names to some of the pics? Always great to be able to put a name to an ugly face................

I always carry an alternator belt it saved me in Springbok on a Sunday, did I have one this trip, no  :-[ also made me realize the advantage of organizing, one person with optimate, one with a compressor, one with a tow strap, no need for everyone to carry everything.  :sip:
The guys say they can do a Pistol on their 3D printer, not impressed I have had a Canon printer for years.
