Check what I got! ...braggin'
« on: October 05, 2015, 09:50:11 am »
Anyone recognize these?

Well they're brand new and they're all mine! Mmwahahaaaa *eeevil laugh*

In December I'll start converting my 625SXC into a rally machine. Got new ADV tank and fairing and some other trick parts too, so watch this space...

P.S. Sorry about bragging but I had to share with people who would get it. My wife was like, oh, is that it.

Remember that hapiness is a way of travel - not a destination.

Your wife doesn't appreciate it, so rather sell it to me.  My wife will appreciate what she gets in return...

How much petrol do they hold?

Probably less than your average rotopax :D :D

They look pretty cool though.

I can't recall the spec, but its something like 20 liters.

That's the main motivation. But they also carry the fuel very low.

I found them on an online smalls ad from Germany and immediately phoned the guy. Sounded legit, so I bought them.

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

Yes, when I said it sounded legit I meant because I made sure.

So I measured them. Left side takes 9.5L and right side 7.5L. So 17L total. I'll have to build some brackets and make a plan with the exhaust, but that's part of the fun.

No, we pretty much got all of them.

I wouldn't advise anyone to follow this route, unless they're after a rarity like late 90's KTM rallye parts or an exciting Triumph.
