OK - The stunning pic was taken by Iron Shark - Other guys in pic are a bunch of guys from work, all bigger bikes and you notice later the benefit of bigger tanks. I was still on my KTM 200, starting off from Patensie and heading right into the mountains towards Willowmore through this incredible river bed (bigger bikes are kaking off, except for Iron Shark, who already had a close up with a agro shrub) this was all lekker, slept over ...and that's when the kaka hit the fan. Me and this other guy on a Truimph Tiger decided to take a dice down the dirt road, well after he came past me at 200 and I was full taps at about 140, it was great fun and you know how it is beforte you know it you have done 100k's and missed the turn off because somehow things look familiar at that speed (I'm sure I remember seing that tree etc. Stumped we landed up at the end of the Cockscomb rd, my tank almost empty. Okay friend went to get petrol at Uitenhage because I reckoned we should go back and meet the other guys at river crossing, like agreed - he brought back 5L and I had about 3L in tank...it can't be more than 80k's.
So let's go halfway back friend has a front blow-out(that's what will happen moering along and you hit a stone - okay so the riding is lekker, I decide he must go back and I will go ahead and meet the guys at the river crossing not far now, but just in case get another litre from friend. Off I go look down to make waypoint and the damn thing is awol..gone - Okay still got cell phone. Bike starts to cough and splutter - dirt in petrol...nooooo hit reserve. Okay..I know it's not far now, turn tap to reserve and take it easier, notice sun is low, panic sets in - bike dies...get cell out...cell dies...damn it (or word to that effect) - Okay lets push till we get to a farm..funny how all the farms hide when you going 2km's per hour. Okay leave bike..walk..find dam..fill bottle..blisters..take of boots..walk..walk..baboons..walk..getting dark..Now remember this Sunday so not to much traffic on this backwater dusty road, start recognising things and realise it's a flipping long way to go. Eventually a farmer comes along a Mr Els ( noe wat noe boet) he says as he approaches in his bakkie..no problem he fills me up. Can you believe it no 2-stroke..what else can go wrong. Take some oil out gear-box. Very worried because i have just re-done my motor after losing part of a selector fork into the gears, so take it slow but eventually get there thanks to the guys that waited for me!

Nice one Carlos, the unlucky biker with the blow-out on the Toger was ... RED TIGER... looks like he has no luck on that road...  ;)
If I'm not mistaken one of the other riders was "Blue Submarine" (something like that) as for the rest they were as Carlos said mates from work.

Nice report mate.  ;D
