« on: October 12, 2015, 11:18:20 am »
Hi,

My seat pan broke, after an unfortunate incident with a electric garage door!!  >:(
Are there after market options available? Anyone here with other than standard seats, Powerparts Gel seat? Opinions?

Thanks.

Seat Concepts have a stronger pan available as well as the usual foam/covers.

Powerparts one is a lot softer than the standard one. Also cheaper than the Seating concepts but not as good.

Thanks. seems like the Seat Concepts is the one to save up for.....

Just need to make a plan in the meantime, so that I can still ride....

I love the stock seat but the seat pan sucks. I'm on my second. They both snapped in the middle

The little rubber supports start two compress after a while.  I stick on little circles of conveyor belt to shim them up.  When they sag again, I replace.  Repeat...  Just got 4 a couple of weeks ago.  If you leave it, the pan breaks.

Stick water tap rubber washers in there!
works like a treat and don't compress...  :thumleft:
