Flippen nice.

I stopped next to one of those BW scooter things things at a traffic light yesterday in the cage. (the XL is at Runner for a new clutch).  It didn't look too good with all the go-faster stickers and the expansion pipe that turned back on itself above the back wheel.

When the light turned green the rider twisted the throttle all the way to "hyperspace" speed, and pulled away. I was in the 1400 i20 WITH the AC on. I pulled away gently, and stayed alongside him whilst all that really changed was the cacophony coming from that fucking exhaust. I couldn't even hear the music on Radio Jakaranda  :xxbah:

So I put my foot down and left him behind at about 60km/h.  :ricky:

Must have been a Friday bike...  :pot:

I see our chat planted a seed. As far as I am concerned if you buy a scooter you buy Japanese. BWS small and maybe underpowered, but it will last and someone will actually want to buy it come time to sell.

I see one name that was not mentioned in the last three pages. Here is one cracker scooter, but maybe not in your budget. Very few small scooters will stick with this, let alone an 1400 I20...... :peepwall:
