I had a thought this morning. Adventure bike guys seem to be the most well protected in the way of gear (out of street users anyway). A bunch of us use Leatt neck braces, body armour under regular bike jackets, knee pads and most of us wear boots more on the MX side of the scale than the doc martins end of the scale.
(Certainly we wear more gear than cruiser guys and 90% of SBK riders).
This got me wondering if ADV guys are possibly under-represented in the injury statistics?
I realise the counter argument to this is that we take bikes into areas where crashes are far more likely so maybe we end up going down more....but surely we're mostly doing lower speeds than sportbikers skidding down a highway at 200 and plenty.
