Okay here is the story... :-[
I am buying the V-strom from a guy in Cape Town lets call him "Piet".
Piet wants "X" amount for the bike.
The bike is still financed at BMW financing.
I have the "X" amount of money in my bank account.
How do i go about purchasing the bike? :-[
My feeling is that me and Piet should go to BMW and pay off the finance amount, they will then hand me and Piet the registration papers. I then pay the balance amount to Piet.
Guys please this topic is very confusing to me.... i need some good advice quickly because i think of leaving for Cape Town tomorrow
Should i set up i kind of contract? ???
Will BMW release the papers of the bike immediately? ???
Can i leave Cape Town on the bike without the papers? ???
