We had to get a bunch of grade 12's, or rather ex-grade 12's to Plettenberg Bay for the Plett Rage.
At the very last minute it also worked out that my wife and riding buddy could take the day off and a trip was put together.
We decided to trailer the bikes to Plett, of course my S-Ten refused to get on the trailer
Filling up at 05:00
The view from Du Toits Kloof early morning (a rather "sporty" ride due to the wind)
A few hours later at the Beacon Isle waiting for the monsters to register for their event
Leaving them to set up camp (we also arranged to leave the car and trailer there for the weekend)
From there we set off back to George, up Montagu Pass to Die Oude Meul, our overnight 13km outside Oudtshoorn on the way to Swartberg Pass
Saturday morning after breakfast we set off, destination Gamkaskloof
A stop at Kobus se Gat (no, not mine...) for something cold before we get to gravel
And then up Swartberg Pass and on to the Kloof
Down in the Kloof we set up camp and made ourselves comfortable
Sunday morning after coffee we had to head back to Plettenberg Bay to get the car and then still had to get home
We decided to take back roads, heading towards Uniondale, just before Uniondale turn off to De Vlugt, stop ant Angie's for a beer, then over Prince Alfred's Pass back to Plett
But first a stop in Oudtshoorn for breakfast
WTF?
From Plett it was a long tar slog home but even that was fun after a great little trip
Back home just after 20:00
