I'd make the same modifications to both the AT and the KLR:

1) Crash bars
2) Wider pegs
3) Better screen
4) Better seat
98 Black AT & the wheel from a 04 KLR 650.

On the 1150GS, I'd like:
- a bling kezost (no cat. conv.)
- steering damper (only heard good reports so far)
- a pillion.
Live and let live.

TT sell the ali chainguard, I used to manufacture them but turnover was not worth the effort. I have one slightly used set left for the 650GS, going at a good price.
If you can keep your head in the midst of all this confusion, you don't understand the situation!

This place is not big enough to list all the mods done on my scoot, and they were difficult to come up with because I started with an already perfect scoot! :D  :D  :D

Go the real bling route (you have time), I have a mate with a spare rear shaft drive for a Pig, we can adapt it for a KLR!

Can someone stop sending me these tablets they do not match my prescription!

R1100GS, it's perfect in stock spec, except:

1) Alu panniers, hopefully i'll get them one day. The stock plastic are ill-small for 2up travel, and i'm always afraid they explode once the bike hits on the side even on the small speed action.

2) 41 litre fuel tank, i really miss it to bits after my previous 1100 written off along with the 41L tank   With the stock 22L tank it feels like i'm living in the petrol stations.

3) Servicable WP or Wilbers shocks in the future if the un-servicable stock Showas are worn out.

Getting the WP suspension kit from touratech for the f650gs that is used in the f650RR, just a wopping R22000! I guess it's still cheaper than buying a dakar  :D
