I have been riding an 800 GS for the past two years.
On weekend rides it looks to me like I am just about the only guy keeping to the speed limit.
I am NOT a conformist - for me this just feels like a nice relaxed speed at which to ride.
Last week I took my bike in for its 40K service. The salesman tried very hard to sell me the idea of a 1200 LC. The main selling points? SPEED AND POWER! I am not even coming close to using the 800's capabilities. Hell, I had a 2007 KLR and never considered it to be under powered.
I am really starting to feel that I am an exception to the rule and I have been avoiding group rides lately because I am usually the odd one out.
If there is anyone else that feels like this in the Lowveld area I would really like to hear from you!
