Looks GREAT!

Is the front sprocket supposed to be open?!?  And what about chain guides on the swing arm?  Don't you think that chain might beat the livng daylights out of the swing arm?
The three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40 and a hammer.  If it moves and it shouldn't, use the duct tape.  If it doesn't move and it should, use the WD-40.  Otherwise use the hammer.

I'm busy making a plan to replace the front sprocket cover and the guide on the swing arm........those two items are piss in comparison to the rest.

If you're still looking for a speedo then this may help
I had an old xr500re with no speedo and wanted to know how fast (slow) I was going
I got a 2nd hand speedo from a Honda of unknown spec and fudged a bracket for mounting
I thought it may need recalibrating, but when I checked it behind the wife's car,    :ricky:
it was as accurate as anything else on the old Honda
Total cost was less than R100-00, with cable  :thumleft:
(I think the speedo cable came from a CD500 delivery bike, also 2nd hand)
The bonus was an odemeter with reset bottun on the trip meter  :thumleft:
Try your local 2nd hand bike parts shop, they usually have buckets full of old speedos
