From Amageza:

Good morning

Amageza Racing is proud to announce its participation in the 2016 Dakar Challenge.

After already being invited to join the Dakar Challenge in 2015 by A.S.O, we have eventually been able meet the requirements to host this prestigious category during the 2016 Amageza Rallye. The contract has been signed, sealed and is on its way to Paris, France.

What this means is that if you compete in the Dakar Challenge Category during the 2016 Amageza Rallye, and win it, you will get a free Malle Moto entry to the 2018 Dakar. Yes, you read correctly, 2018, not 2017 as it is normally. This means that in stead of months to plan like in the past with regards to the Dakar Challenge, you now have more than a year.

To celebrate this achievement we will be opening the 2016 Amageza Rallye entries during the course of today with a EPIC OPENING SPECIAL of ZAR 23,478.27. On 1 April 2016 the price will go up to ZAR 34,334.82. You can save ZAR 10,856.55 if you order and pay before 1 April 2016. So jump while you have the chance. Please purchase the Dakar Challenge item for ZAR 1 if you are serious about doing the 2018 Dakar Rally.

You may download the A.S.O Document here regarding the 2016 Amageza Rallye - 2016 Dakar Challenge.

I have a meeting scheduled with the Namibian Consul General in a fortnight to expand our planned routes in Namibia. We are already in a advanced planning stage with the juiciest bits in Botswana, and will keep negotiating with the Northern Cape Province of South Africa to include the best of the Extreme Province.

This is what all of us have been working for. Although only one of you can win the free entry to the 2018 Dakar Rally, all of you have made this possible. From a bunch of guys starting the first Amageza Rallye from a filling station on the West Coast with me racing behind on my bike with a medic-kit on the back, and sat-phone strapped to the handle-bar. To recognition by A.S.O by offering us the Dakar Challenge, we truly have made the impossible dream, a possibility.

A great big thanks to the sponsors who have helped to keep the costs manageable. Special thanks to KTM Cape Town and Sat4Rent that has continually supported us.

From me, a thanks to the competitors and supporters that would not allow me to tap out when it seemed I was in a choke-hold. Each criticism made me try harder, each kind word and a tap on the shoulder made me keep my chin up.

For those of you doing the West Coast Baja next weekend, I'll see you in Port Nolloth for most likely the race on the most epic terrain you have ever done! (Except Kobus Potgieter. We tried, but could not find a mountain higher than the Andes in the Northern Cape)

If you have any questions, please drop us a email at entry at amageza.com.

All the best,
Alexander

The discount is significant incentive to enter early.

But instead of "Support Gerrit" try "Zu ma se ..". You'll sell enough t-shirts to take the whole family to South America with you.

I too have just paid in full and completed the entry form. No turning back now.
Now all I need to do it build my bike up from the many parts and boxes around the house and get fitter.
