WANTED: Looking for a set of 690 OEM indicators
« on: December 29, 2015, 10:33:44 am »
I recently turned the Husaberg FE390 into a road legal bike, by making a few MacGyver modifications to the plastic tail fender, but what I didn't realise is that the weight of the tail light, indicator and numberplate holder was obviously too heavy for constant wheelies and ramping over things, and yesterday I heard a cracking sound, only to realise my entire tail light had ripped off and was dangling by the wiring harness.

By this stage it was too late and the indicators had bounced around, cracking in the process before I stopped.

Anyone have a set of these lying around they are willing to part with.

They are DOG ugly, as any 690 owner would know, and although I intend to one-day upgrade them to LED's, for now, just looking for restoring them to being functional.

I'll buy you a nice cold beer or two if you can help me out. Much appreciated.

If you had a psychic midget who killed someone, you would have a small medium at large.

I thought 690 indicators were renowned for breaking off within days, highly unlikely you will find some?  :peepwall:

Well Im hoping I can find at least 2 individual units amongst the entire 690 owner population of this forum.
If 2 indicators survived then I am one lucky guy, ha ha.

They honest are the crappiest indicators ever. Every ride we ever went on with a 690 owner, there was always at least 2 broken on every ride.

LOL

Just buy the cheap stuff. The 690 indicators will break if you look at them funny.

I do plan to replace all 4 with better ones.
Thing is I just spent R250 on these 4, not even 2 weeks ago, so it would be nice to have 4 functioning indicators for the temporary solution, will buy new ones in 2016.

I've got 2. But in CT. WD couriers?
Surely if I was obsessed with motorcycles I’d have more than one; no two; no three; no no, four… ah, never mind…

Awesome, really appreciate it.
Here's the good news (well for me at least), Im leaving for Cape Town with the family tomorrow morning and returning to JHB on the 7th Jan.

Will you be around for the next week?
We will be staying somewhere near Kuilsriver, but can travel wherever you are, I'd like to buy you a nice cold draft if you are keen?

Thanks so much bud!
