As dead as a mossie! Battery still good, engine turning over but not starting. ???

1. Fuel line and filters
2. Tank fuel taps (called petcocks I think?)
3. Side stand switch
4. Kill switch
5. Clutch switch
6. Fuses
Not having a bakkie I now need to get to dealer for repears - extra money for fetching the XR- as I need it for commuting and I just hate having a broken down bike in my garage!!!
Any help or suggestions?
