You oaks will see me in the starting line up. First race of he season ...yay! Forecasted 27 degrees C which is peachy weather.
Laps are about 50 kays, so winners standard is 4 laps in 3 hours to make up the 200 kays.
Race setters are saying bit of riverbed, bit of technical, bit of fast - sounds great!
Also apparently Hamburger Hill in reverse? This is the hill that featured in the Caledon National, and also some regionals. Should be easier downhill, except for that last zig zag right at the bottom. This would be the wrong place to snatch the front brake ...!
if you are riding past, then why not pop in for a look? the turnoff to the farm is 10kays after Caledon, on the N2. ie go past Caledon due east on the N2; look for turn off to the right (south). It should be marked with with day glo orange 150 x 100mm stickers.
Technically minded people can get the GPS co-ordinates off the poster at the beginning of this thread.
Last minute dot com riders can buy a one-day licence for this race - think you might have to attend to admin today, rather than 10 min before the start tomorrow.
